 HD-600 KENWOOD Owner's Manual by John Copeland;
Having purchased a 1994 Kenwood music system from a Charity shop in 2013 (it was a high end product in its day), I found myself not quite knowing where to plug in what, and how to do this, that and the next thing. I needed a Manual, and after failure with another online 'Manual provider' I found Owner Manuals dot com. Well, I wasn't sure, but it was only $5, and if things didn't work out, I wouldn't have lost much... But things DID work out. After paying my childrens inheritance money, $4.99, I was sent a Manual for my Kenwood System very quickly. Alas, it was in German, and being Scottish, I could not read it or get my system in order from it...a rapid email to them brought the English Manual in short order, and my retro-system was and IS up and running in it's regulation settings. I am very grateful to http://www.owner-manuals.com for their quick service and for even having such an obsolete Manual in the first place! If you need a Manual for ANYTHING, try here first. I wouldn't be surprised if I bought a 1928 Marconi radio, and got the user Manual for THAT here too! Top marks. John Copeland Glasgow Scotland

 PS-FL1 SONY Owner's Manual by Laurence White;
Thanks so much for the Owner's manual for my Sony PS - FL1. I had purchased the turntable off of eBay. It came in and looked great. Packed well and appeared to be great. I balanced and aligned the tone are and hooked it up. When trying to play a record the tone are would move to the right place and just before it would drop to play it moved back off the edge of the record before touching down. I searched the net for an answer to this issue. No luck. Then I purchased the owners manual and sure enough there was a place to adjust where the stylus touched down. That adjustment solved the problem and saved me a $35 feet to have the player checked out. The manual is well written and easy to understand. It is a must have for anyone with this front loading Sony turntable.
 G-9000 SANSUI Owner's Manual by Laurence White;
Some years back I pruchased a Sansui G-9000. I had it cleaned up and a problem with the left channel repaired. When I got it back I hooked it up to my tape decks, turn tables, TV and it played great. The only thing I was not really satisfied with was the performance of my Graphic Equalizer. I purchased this owner's manual had poured myself a cup of coffee. The manual is well organized and written in plain language. It also contained the solution to my dissatisfaction. By using the preamp connections coupled I was able to run everything through my graphic equalizer and now enjoy the full potential of my complete system.

NICAM Features
In addition to the standard features found, your TV also has NICAM sound capabilities. NICAM transmitted signals provide stereo sound whilst viewing the TV in STEREO mode, thus giving the user even greater listening pleasure. The TV also provides 16:9 (Wide Screen Format) viewing capabilities, together with automatic wide screen detection software built in.

Nicam Features
Stereo

The Nicam facility features two modes which provide the viewer with various sound effects. These features are activated by pressing the key on the handset. When repeatedly pressed the TV will cycle through each mode and will display a particular on-screen symbol. The various modes and on-screen identification is explained below. stereo by forcing a wide area of sound from the TV. Use this mode when viewing action movies or sports events to obtain spatialising acoustic performance. When selected the symbol shown below appears at the top right hand corner of the screen.

This option allows NICAM digital stereo sound to be output from the TV. Use this mode for the majority of TV viewing. When selected the word âSTEREOâ is displayed in the top right hand corner of the TV screen as shown.

Wide Stereo This effect enhances NICAM digital

stereo stereo

In monaural mode, the TV outputs a single sound source through both speakers. The TV will automatically select this sound when a mono signal is found. Some stereo signals can become poor in adverse weather conditions, and mono should be selected to avoid poor sound. Use the key to switch to mono (the word âMONOâ appears when switched).

Pseudo Stereo Pseudo Stereo creates an ambient
sound from mono signals imitating that of stereo sound. Use the key to select Pseudo Stereo. When selected the symbol shown will appear in the top right hand corner of the screen.

16:9 Features
Various broadcasting stations now transmit movies and programmes in true wide screen format, especially some satellite broadcasts. Built into your TV is software that detects these signals and automatically switches your TV to the correct format. However, some broadcasters do not transmit the automatic sensing signal, and thus the TV will not recognize the format being transmitted. The above problem may be overcome simply by pressing the 16:9 button on your handset.

example 1

First identify the type of signal being transmitted. If it is a 16 x 9 wide screen broadcast viewed on a 4 x 3 normal format, then objects or characters appear tall and narrow (see example 1). By pressing the 16:9 button on your handset the screen is compressed to a 16 x 9 ratio. This is the correct ratio to view true wide screen broadcasts (see example 2). If the 16:9 button is pressed once more the AUTO function is set. The TV will automatically detect the broadcast and switch to 4:3 or 16:9 ratio. We recommend AUTO is set for the majority of TV viewing.
