Preparations 1. Perform these adjustments after the CYCLE OFFSET adjustment described in Section 4-4. 2. Reset gamma correction before adjustment. Place the cursor on [GAMMA] (left side) in the Adjustment menu, press the [RESET] key and select [DEFAULT]. Now press the [RESET] key again and press the [MAGNIFY-OFF] button of the Remote control transmitter for 5 seconds or more (the confirming to �MICRO� reset menu will appear).

Place the cursor on [GAMMA] (right side) in the Adjustment menu, press the [RESET] key and select [DEFAUT]. 3. Whisper mode set to [Normal] in the Setup menu.

Adjustment procedure 1. First, adjust the G color. 2. GAMMA mode set to [DYNAMIC] in the lmage menu. 3. BRIGHT and CONTRAST set to in the Setup menu. 4. Place the cursor on Slide Show in the Adjustment menu [A/D], press the [ ] key three times to display G monochrome and adjust the luminance at the center of the screen. Make a note of the setting (here assumed to be A [lx]). Press the MENU key to return. 6

5. BRIGHT and CONTRAST is returned to default in the Setup menu. 6 GAMMA mode is returned to default in the lmage menu. 7 Place the cursor on 0%, measure the illumination at the center of the screen. Make a note of the setting (here assumed to be B [lx]. 8. Adjust Gamma, 93%, and G: in the Adjust menu so that luminance (Y) at the center of the screen is adjusted as follows. Y = (A-B) x 0.680 +B ± 2% [lx]
