How to rewind the power cord
Rewind the cord while holding the plug and pressing the cord reel button. (To avoid injury and damage to furniture due to plug whiplash.) Caution :
In the interest of safety, when you remove the plug from the mains socket, always be sure to hold plug, not the power cord.
HOW TO MAINTAIN CLEANING EFFICIENCY
Â¡The plug of the power supply cord should be removed from the socket outlet before cleaning the appliance or undertaking maintenance operations. Â¡The supply cord on this appliance can only be replaced by the use of special tools and if it is damaged the appliance must be returned to the manufacturer or an accredited service agent for repair. Â¡To clean the cleaner body and attachments, wipe with a soapsuds-soaked cloth. Avoid using alcoholic content liquids.

TO AVOID ACCIDENTS
Â¡Always disconnect cord from electrical outlet before servicing the cleaner. Â¡Do not pick up matches, fireplace ashes or smoking material with the vacuum cleaner as a possible fire hazard may result. Â¡Avoid picking up sharp objects. They may damage the vacuum cleaner. Â¡Do not use the cleaner to pick up wet dirt, and avoid using it in a wet and moist place as moisture may damage the motor and other mechanical parts. Â¡Do not block the air flow. Any blockages or obstructions to the nozzle, hose, etc. or the exhaust air outlet can cause loss of power and motor overheating. Â¡Do not run the cleaner over cord. It may damage insulation. Â¡Avoid cleaning the swich and receptacle parts with wet cloth and splashing water on it as moisture may cause a short circuit. Â¡Your vacuum cleaner is not a toy. 1) Shorten the length of the extension pipe while pressing the slide knob.

2) Insert the hose stand into the stand supporter. 3) Wind the hose around the extension pipe. 4) Put the hose under the grip handle.
Notes : Â¡Do not carry the cleaner in the hose stand storage position. Â¡Do not store the cleaner with hose near a stove or warm place, it may be damaged due to excessive heat.
The mains lead on this equipment is supplied with a moulded plug incorporating a fuse, the value of which is indicated on the pin face of the plug. Should the fuse need to be replaced, an ASTA or BSI approved BS 1362 fuse must be used of the same rating. If the fuse cover is detachable never use the plug with the cover omitted. If a replacement fuse cover is required, ensure it is of the same colour as that visible on the pin face of the plug. Fuse covers are available from your dealer. DO NOT cut of the mains plug from this equipment. If the plug fitted is not suitable for the power points in your home or the cable is too short to reach a power point, then obtain an appropriate safety approved extension lead or consult your dealer.
When the vacuum cleaner is operated continuously with a full dust case, the cleaner may stop automatically to prevent overheating of the motor.
Should it be necessary to change the mains plugs, this must be carried out by a competent person, preferably a qualified electrician. If there is no alternative to cutting off the mains plug, ensure that you dispose of it immediately, having first removed the fuse, to avoid a possible shock hazard by inadvertent connection to the mains supply.
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code: Blue = Neutral, Brown = Live As these colours may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: The wire coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter N or coloured BLUE or BLACK. The wire coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter L or coloured BROWN or RED. On no account connect either of these wires to the terminal marked E or by the earth symbol green or green and yellow. or coloured
What to do.
When the protection device operates, 1) Unplug the cleaner from the mains supply. 2) Empty the dust case or remove the obstruction in hose, extension pipe, rug & floor nozzle, and exhaust. 3) Wait for one hour and you can use the cleaner again.
